Description
Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders) stars as headstrong Eliza Scarlet, the first-ever female detective in Victorian London, who won’t let naysayers stop her from keeping her father’s business running. She consistently spars (and sparks) with her handsome childhood friend, professional colleague, and potential love interest, Scotland Yard Detective Inspector William Wellington (Stuart Martin), a.k.a., The Duke. The series delivers on the kind of historical fiction where a smart woman must work out how to survive and thrive in a time when she had little rights.
